Dear All

I have question regarding to corrosion probe

Is there corrosion rate reading from Cor probe can be monitored in real time monitoring (on stream monitor) or the corrosion rate is only can be measure only form remote digital controller or handheld corrosion monitor, so we must remove corr probe from its place with service valve

Need your response or input badly.

Thank you and best regards,

There are corrosion probes that provide semi-real-time monitoring (there is of course a fair response time to any probe).

Rohrback (ER) and Permasense (external permanent UT) are the two that I'm familiar with.

Since such probes are electronic devices they can be readily patched into DCS systems with associated alarm functions. There is no need to remove probes to download data even if they are not wired into the DCS - simply attach a datalogger interface.

Try a little research for yourself on Google.

There is no need to remove the probes , the data logger interface is sufficient to get reading , and the output will be generally a ratio of resistance and the corrosion rate
