How to minimize Thermomehanical distorsion during Heat Treatment ?

If any one can show us how can we decrease the thermomecanical deformation during heat treatment, especialy the during the quenching treatlent.

Could you please provide us with more details about your process (temperature before quench etc.) and parts. There are several ways to minimize heat treat distortion.

Hi Rao

We produce steel castings parts but we have some problems to respect the dimensionnel values causes by :

1- Distorsion in solidification step in the sand mold.
2- Distorsion during holding thes parts caused by the fluage.
3- Distorsion during water quenching
