How to model this part? 3

I need to model this part :

I'm trying to use Revolve and and Extrude :

The question is How to trim unnecessary pieces? or maybe I should use another methods to model this part?

Something like this?
it's an NX5 part. Hope you can open it.

I revolved the bottom half with "stock" on top...
I chopped the swoop with an extrude(thats what the stock is for)...
finally, I revolved the top taper and united it.

Thats my guess!

Based on the appearance of the image the sides appear to flatten out so just roughly using Jay's geometry I have added in a few steps to arrive at the following result. You might take the time to model something more carefully. I really just intended to illustrate the use of face blends in this instance.

I think Jay's solution to boolean three elements is otherwise the correct approach. It also appears from the image that the two tapered ends may in fact not be co-axial (slightly off centre). It wouldn't change the construction.
