Hi all,

I have logged a huge quantity of CANBUS files. The files are stored in .ASC file format, which I have to analyse with MATLab. Is there any "programmatic" way that permits me to interpret (with the .DBC files) and convert the .ASC files into a file format that can be open with MATLab (i.e. .TXT,.CSV,.MAT)? I have tried to use the vehicle network toolbox, but some messages are not recognized for some reasons.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Pietro

Perhaps if you posted an excerpt from a file somebody might be able to help. .asc usually implies text readable.

Hi Greg,

thanks for your replies. The tool I am using is Vehicle Network Toolbox, which embeds the function you have linked. However, for some reasons, not all signals are found :(. Providing the same .ASC file and the same database, Vector Canalyzer finds more signals than Matlab.
