I am unable to perform seismic analysis on gravity retaining wall model consisting of wall, backfill and foundation soil with infinite elements in backfill and foundation soil. I want to provide earthquake motion to the same model which I have run for static analysis and got the stresses pertaining to static loading condition. I tried to import the deformed parts from static model and then applied the load and boundary condition for seismic analysis and used predefined field set option to obtain the stresses from previous static model but after providing motion to this model it is not running. Can anyone help me out??

Which procedure (step type) are you using for the seismic analysis ? What happens - are there any error messages ?

I am using Dynamic Implicit step for Earthquake motion. So the problem is I want to apply seismic loading to my model at the base of foundation soil after the wall has been displaced in static condition. If I am providing the dynamic implicit step just after the active condition(i.e., giving wall 40mm displacement) when the abaqus goes to next step of seismic analysis it is not applying motion from that displaced wall instead it again moves the wall 40mm and then motion is applied due to which my results are not coming proper. I Want to know is there any way to extract the result file which contains stresses from the static model and then use that abaqus file to apply seismic loading. I am attaching the steps image for your reference which I used earlier.

Can you share the .cae or .inp file ? I'd like to see the boundary condition definitions.

I am sharing my .inp file. Here I have kept both static and seismic steps in same file. But I am writing my problem again for your reference- Actually I have made the model by providing infinite elements, what I want to do is after displacing the wall for 40mm displacement due to gravity loading I want to apply seismic load at the bottom. So I tried to import the result obtained from static analysis and imported the deform parts from static analysis to apply earthquake motion but the error comes as infinite elements can't be imported. Can u please tell any other way to apply earthquake motion on the model imported after getting completed with static analysis??https://res.cloudinary.com/engineering-com/raw/upload/v1715074526/tips/gw_6m_changed_model_seismic_inf_sncvxi.inp
