Hello

I made an assembly a few years back and used the positioning feature to create some points and then managed somehow, to use the pattern component, using the reference method, to position some screws.
The idea was to edit the positioning feature, and by adding/removing points, the screws will also be added or removed automatically.

Now, the problem is, I don't really remember how I did this, because I'm trying to replicate it on some new files and just can't...
The pattern component command just doesn't let me select the positioning feature command.

I have attached the files of the original assembly here so you can check them. (assembly file: 3001-Postico_Gravacao.prt)
I'll be waiting for your help, because i believe this could be helpful for other lines of work besides my own.

Best regards to all,
R. Soares

You can't use Pattern Component to create the pattern. Instead, drag & drop your reusable component onto one of the positioning feature points you have.
This will automatically create the pattern if the Create Component Pattern box is ticked.
Video linked below shows how this works.
