How to Re-Insert an Excel Spreadsheet

Dear Folks;

I am having a tough time editing a spreadsheet which is embedded in my AutoCad 2000 drawing.

I have corrected all the entries in the spreadsheet and added several more, which makes my spreadsheet overlap the drawing area. Unfortunately when I resize the new spreadsheet to fit within the drawing boundary the last few entries are cutoff.

It seems clear that I need to redefine the boundaries of the spreadsheet so my missing lines of data are displayed but I cannot figure out how to do that.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

I've had the same problem...I had to resize the print area on the spreadsheet before I inserted it...

Have had that problem before. Appears AutoDesk has no solution. Only way I deal with excel is in the worksheet after you are done with the changes, select the entire spreadsheet and make the text size as small as possible. Re-size the columns, copy the area you want, paste in AutoCAD, as "paste special", "product enities". This should let you "grab" a lot more data. You will then need to list a piece of text, and knowing the size, scale the chart as needed to be the right text size.

Would hope someday ... Gates and AutoDesk get it together on this !

If you are familiar with Paperspace and Modelspace the problem you describes isn't that hard at all.

Try this:
Paste your Excelsheet in modelspace, do not scaled it or what so ever.

Goto the paperspace tab and create a viewport with mview.

<command> mspace
<command> zoom extents
<command> pspace

If you did that you will see that the Excelsheet always fit, even when modified. But don't forgot to Zoom Extents the viewport again.
