How to rename a session file in catia v4

Hello everybody

This is swamy
How to rename a session file in catia v4
I am facing a problem in renaming a session file.
Only one way i find is "save the session file as save as with different name and delete the original file.
Please let me know how to rename it.

if you have the right priviledges, you can rename a session in unix with the mv command.

cd to session file
mv oldname newname

mv a session file means of waht

moving SESSION.session file alone or mv all .session files.
It is difficult to move all .session file in to a new name because even a small mistake in naming a session file will create a problem which link will lost.

please suggest me a right method

If you have the correct priviledges, you can rename a session in unix with the mv command.

cd to session path
mv oldname newname

You must be VERY CAREFUL when typing path and file names!
(you might want to use the cp command to make a copy, but you seemed to be against that in your original message)

1.what are the possibilities in reducing the model size in catia v4. so that it will be faster in doing modelling.

2.other than ftp what are the other methods of sending a catia file to a remote system.
