Hello all

I would want to write the sectional forces in 2D shell elements of a specific section in my model.
How do I request the same in ABAQUS.

*SURFACE, NAME=sectional_forces_nodes, TYPE=NODE
sectional_forces_nodes, 1.

*SECTION PRINT, NAME= section_SF, SURFACE= sectional_forces_nodes
AXES=LOCAL
SOF
SOM
I used the above keyword, but got the following error

***ERROR: THE SECTION SURFACE SECTIONAL_FORCES_NODES CONSISTS OF A NODE-BASED
SURFACE; THIS IS NOT ALLOWED.

As I wanted to create a surface in *SRECTION PRINT, I created a node based surface

For shells, you can request the section forces directly. For example:

Code:
*ELEMENT OUTPUT
SF
