Hi guys,

I have had a problem. I have a few parts in an subassembly. Hide and show state have been set in this subassembly.

This subassembly is assembled in an top assembly. Some how some one changed the hide and show state of a part in the subassembly under the top assembly contest. The hide and show state in the subassembly does not work in the top assembly any more.

My question is how can we reset the state in the top assembly contest to let the top assembly reflect the chage of the subassembly.

Wish I made the question clear.

Thanks.

The hide/show appears to be effective at the level of the assembly you are at.

Hide part.1 in product.1 and it will be hidden when you open product.1

Put product.1 inside of product.2 and in product.2 show part.1

Open product.1, see part.1 hidden.
Open product.2, see part.1 shown.

Yes, that's right. That is the problem. How can I reset the hide and show properties in the top product so that when I open the top product it can show the state defined in the sub product.

Have you tried Enhanced Scenes to define/recall the Hide/Show states of the various components within an assembly?

I'm not sure how they work with your Product.2 scenario.

Thanks. Maybe using Scene is a good way to manage hide/show state.
