This should be crazy easy but for some reason I can't figure it out... I want to set a variable equal to a value from a matrix by calling out the column and row, x=y(i,j), where i and j are column and row values. This seems like it should be crazy easy but I can't even find the row operator

I can't even find the square brackets, and the round brackets make it assume it's a function. Is that in mcad 15 or prime?

Nevermind, I see I'm not trying to put the square bracket in mathcad, this works.

vlookup is for looking for specific values within a matrix, so unless your indices are actually in the matrix itself, I don't see that it does what you originally stated.

vlookup(z said:
Looks in the first column of a matrix, A, for a given value, z, and returns the value(s) in the same row(s) in the column specified, c. When multiple values are returned, they appear in a vector.
