I searched forum and I didnt find so I will ask. using NX8.0

I always create new component by using "blank" template.

When I switch to drafting, default dimensions are in decimals. I use 'preferences' > 'annotations' to switch to fractions.

Is there a way to set my "customer defaults" settings so that every blank file will be set to fractions, and I wouldnt have to change through "preferences" for every component seperately.

It looks like 'prefference' > 'annotations' settings have more options than the 'customer deafult' settings.
Thanks

Have you tried going to...

Customer Defaults -> Drafting -> General -> Standard

...and then select the default standard that you'd be working with and then go to...

Customize Standard -> Drafting Standard -> Annotation -> Units

...where you can set the default display of Linear Dimensions, which includes several fractional standards including the option to use either Engineering or Architectural Feet/Inches. If you make any changes here you can then either save these changes to the actual standard or you can created a user-named copy which could then be deployed as your company standard.

YEEESS! Exactly what I needed.

I had "inhereted" in my 'standards' Now I will use ASME and set it up exactly how I want it to be.

Thank YOU! [love] [glasses]
