Hi,
I'm working on a job where I'm pumping oil into a pipeline using a positive displacement pump. I need to install a PRV downstream of the pump to kick in at the pipes MOP and divert the product upstream of the pump in an overpressure situation.
When calling the valve people we work with, they just asked me if the fluid was sour, what size (NPT) PRV I wanted, and what is the max pressure. Do I just have to wait until they set the valve to the pressure rating to see what the flow rate would be?
Thanks!
