Hello,
I have a small feature which I need to sweep/move along a curve.
When the traces of this feature will come in contact with another feature I have to substract them.
Its very much like a milling cam software just instead of an endmill I have a more complex 3d feature.
I don't need to simulate motion, just to create a feature that I can substract from the outline that is left in the model.
I use NX6.
Please tell me if more clarification needed.
Thank you.

So basically you want to take the trace curves of a sweep and create a solid from them ?
It would help if you could show a picture if possible.

Yes, just the outline of the sweep is not a 2d sketch but a 3d solid feature.

actually I meant to say:
how many trace curves are there?

The footprint will not be made of curves.
Its more like an end mill moving in a given path through a block, all the material that was in the way will be gone.
That's what i'm looking for just instead of simple endmill shape I want other feature.
If its still not clear enough I will make an example at work tomorrow and add to this post.
