I am working on a project where I have given the main water supply line 2". Inside the building as per the calculation the pipe size should be 4" to fulfill all the requirements. what should be done at the tie in point in order to avoid any issue that may arise? Can making a header solve the problem, is so what should be header size? thanks in advance.

You probably need to install s booster pump!

But without flows and pressures in each bit no one can know.

The incoming supply might be enough or not. You need to find out.

If the water flow of the main water supply isn't enough for the building usage requirement, it may need to add a water tank with the boost pump.

the 2-inch municipal water pipe, which frequently connects to a building's storage tank. As LI pointed out, the best solution to satisfy the building's requirement is a booster pump connected to the storage tank.

thank you all for responding to it, it helped. The client is changing the main pipeline as they don't want to add a water tank and booster pump.
