Dear all,

This is Raby.
Here I have a question that how to use "ESC" fuction key as a mapkey? When creating a new mapkey, I don't know what is the right key sequence for this mapkey. As all of you know, F1~F12 function keys can do in mapkey creating just with symbol "$" before them.
Really have interest in it. Do wish had your kind reponses!

Hi Raby

I do not know what version of ProE you are using, but in the 2001, you can use any key combo say "AA" as a save mapkey, then you can create a flyout button (icon button). I have done this process a lot and I do not have to remember the keys, just what the Icons do.
This is a web site which shows how to do this.

Hope this helps

Raby,

Did you try to make a mapkey using the mapkey utility?

If the esc key can be used it will properly format it there.

You could make a dummy mapkey, save it, look at it to see what proe designated and alter it to perform whatever function you like.

(I realize you can look at mapkeys in certain versions of proe but in older versions you can't)

Let me know if thi is as clear as mud.

Hi,Tofflemire&procadman2

This is Raby.
Yeah, I know how to create a mapkey in Proe2001. And my interest is how to use the button "Esc" on the keyboard as a key sequence when mapkey creating. Because as all of you know, such as "F1,F2..., F12" can be used to be the key sequence of mapkey. I just want to use "Esc" button on keyboard to express one mapkey function. Hope got your all instruments!
