Dear collages of the forum,

I am a beginner and trying to make models of reinforced concrete members. I want to learn how to use user-subroutine to define material properties. However, I have not known where I should begin from?
Please kindly explain or show me examples that I can follow step by step to understand this problem.
Thank you very much.

Best Regards.

Are you familiar with continuum mechanics or, in general, the mathematical formulation of your material? If not, that is what I'd suggest you get familiar with. See if you can code it in Matlab, or better, Mathematica. And finally, making the Fortran code work with Abaqus will be a piece of cake (almost!) - assuming you are familiar with Fortran.

Are you new to this forum? If so, please read these FAQ:

Dear Caothi,
Why you want to use subroutine to define the material properties of FRC in Abaqus? I think you can define it based on the Experimental studies that have been done on your material. However, if your material is really new you need to define it.

Regards,
M
