Hi all

I've been sent some files in the .max format (3ds max), is there any way of opening these without having 3ds max software installed on my PC?
Is there a viewer that's available somewhere, something like edrawings.

Just for info; I have Solidworks & UGNX on my PC.

Thanks

I use a program called Designer. It's a 3D design software by a company called Threedify and can open around 40 different file formats from different 3D design software such as studio max and even autocad. The benifit, I found, was the ability to open, then modify the rendering. The company to which I'm refering has another program as well that will allow you to then export your mark-ups ect... into microsoft office. This allows for easier sharing. As a designer, I never know what file format I'm getting, so this is a pretty good little program. They also have some demos on You Tube.
