Does anyone know of an equation to calculate the horsepower requirements per MMSCFD of gas flow? I've got this nice wheel from Ariel but I would like to have a "live" calculation determine HP requirements.

I also posted this in the "pump engineering" forum as I figure it applies there, but it might also apply here? Thread:
Thank you!!

Of course, after I post this I find the equation in GPSA, 12 edition, equation 13-4.

In reference to compression Hp requirement as a fuction of flow and pressure ratio:

Hp= T1*Zavg/11.66 * k/(k-1) *SQ/nisen *[(p2/p1)^((k-1)/k) - 1]

t1=suction temp
Zave= average compressibility at suctiona and discharge
k= ratio of specific hears
SQ=standard flow in MMSCFD

Hope this was of some help.
Regards
