HP Printer Setup

We have a HP LaserJet 4000 with only a 8.5x11 tray. I have seen at previous jobs where I can plot from drafting and the print will be scaled to fit the paper. I don't know what the plotter switch is. I checked the doc's and couldn't find it. Any suggestions?
