Hi everyone,
Little info first. I have a supercharged T-bird that I'm looking to keep cool at the track. Normally we'd ice the intercooler (IC) and tubing down before a race, but ice is no longer allowed in the staging area.
My idea is to create an "icebox" that sits next to the IC using a sealed metal (aluminum?) box with NO2 jets and a high-pressure release valve. This valve need to close quickly when the NO2 is sprayed in the box (cold) and open slowly at a determined temp, similar to a cooling system thermostat.
Does this sound plausible? Does anyone have any suggestions on materials to use and where such a valve can be found?
Thanks in advance,
Pablo - paulvmatthews@yahoo.com

Nevermind. I came up witha better solution to lowering the temperature of the air charge. Thanks though to all who look(ed).
