Hello everyone, new to the site.
My question:
I need to size the feed / return lines to a hydraulic actuator (spring return) which has a swept volume of 1.7 Litres. The feed will come from a accumulator pre-charge to 250PSI (maintained at this pressure by a pump) and returned to the pickup for the pump.
I've had a mind blank on where to begin really?
The parameters I know:
Pressure: 250PSI
Volume of actuator cylinder: 1.7L
Oil: SAE SG 30
Actuation time: 30-40s.
Where to begin? I've been trying to convert and relate the information I have into equations I know but, currently, without success.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
