Can anybody recomend a good fundamentals book for hydraulic systems design. I am new to the field and am looking for a good resource. Please recomend any good web sites you know of as well.

Manufacturer's produce training resources, both short courses and books. I have had good experience with the Rexroth training in Burlington, Ontario:


Rexroth also sells a series of books Cdn$84 each on various aspects of hydraulics including system design, proportional valves, and automatic controls. They have pneumatics books as well. Other companies seem to have similar offerings. Search around within these pages:
