I have a hydro test in which I have to test up against a valve. Problem is the valve is passing and the next valve in the line is a long distance away. Any suggestions?
Downhand,
Remove valve and inspect and if necessary replace.
If the valve cannot hold pressure for the test how is it going to stop product leaking when it is put in service ?

In Addition to Kiwi Comments , you may like to do the seperate testing for valave prior taking any decision that it should be used, reworked & use or Replaced.

If the valve is flanged, drop in a 'pancake' hydro test blank. If the valve is welded, try a Freeze Plug just beyond the valve. TEAM is one company that performs Freeze Plugs.
