Can anyone share the experience of how they developed the control logic for hydrogen feeding for a batch hydrogenation reactor?
Was it a pressure control loop or flow control loop or cascade system. Please help
Or although I doubt but was it a temperature loop

If you feed the hydrogen based on pressure it will automatically flow into the reactor as it is consumed. Use a hydrogen pressure regulator to accomplish this. It is not fancy but effective. You could use a mass flow meter to measure the amount of hydrogen charged if that is something you want to know.

Both options are possible depending on process design. Describe your case in details and post PFD/P&ID.
