We have a ASME Sec.VIII Div.1 pressure column to be Re-rated to 101 barg from current 100 barg.
Existing item earlier shop hydrotested at 130 barg considering design pressure=MAWP
(1.3 x Design pressure X LSR) as per UG-99 during as-built year 2008 .
As per latest rerate design calculation MAWP is 108 barg thus revised design pressure of 101 barg is possible with the available thickness.
However UG-99 hydrotest pressure for re-rating is 1.3*101*1=131.3 barg (1.3 barg more than existing hydrotest)
Due to tall TL-TL and limited strength of existing foundation, field hydrotest of reactor at vertical position is difficult to perform.
Is there a possibility we can complete the rerating without hydrotest?
(U stamping is Not necessary for our project)
