Also how are the maniolds spdded in to the well, are ordinary Table E say flanges used or something exotic.

is maybe too late to answer this but it may be of some interest anyway.

There is a big difference between FPSO and FSO units.

A FPSO receive the fluid from the well at well-head pressure (high), temperature (hot) and composition (acids, sand, water, etc.).

A FSO receive a on-spec processed export crude at low pressure and lower temperature.

The flow diagram is a single line. There must be a swivel system which is a very expensive, high-tec issue in a FPSO and much simplier on a FSO loading system were the swivel can stay on the seabed.

A FSO has a loading manifold typically in the bow connected with the midship manifold typical of tankers.

A FPSO has a swivel turret in the ship were the mooring system is also connected.

The flowlines differ also completely, being actually risers the ones connected to a FPSO and a normal, in-field sealine plus loading hose for the FSO.
