I created in Excel an Item Master list (column A).
Column B and on represent the model numbers with part quantity values. See sample below.

A B C D E F
model B model C model D model E model F ...
p/nW 3 7 3
p/nX 4 5 2 4
p/nY 1 1 5
p/nZ 2 1 4 1

Question: Is it possible to filter the contents of say
Model B as:

Model B
p/nW 3
p/nY 1
p/nZ 2

If it is, how would I accomplish this?

Sort of. The list above is would normally be generated as a crosstab query from a set of various tables.

Just typing the values in a format similar to above doesn't lend itself to filtering. Entering the data in related tables and writing a crosstab query would allow filtering as needed.

what you want to do is build a Pivot Table, that will give you the ability to do what you are looking for. You will have to play with it a little bit droping and moving the values around.
