I-DEAS Drafting Help

Hello

I have to create a set of aorund 100 part drawings in I-DEAS 9 (Drafting). I was wondering if anyone knows how to create a personalised standard template block so i dont have to fill in my name and other info everytime?

Any help would be much appiciated

Hi Nick,

1. define a symbol of your text or drawing border you require.
2. export the symbol out. by file export
start up a new drawing.
3. create instance, bring in your symbol into your drawing area.
4. Smash instance so that you can edit any notes you wish.

this is a way I use all the time.
