I have been tasked with bringing EPDM and VITON compression molding technologies into our company.
Our product is terminated and pre potted electrical cable assemblies that require an overmold.
the overmold must bond to the cable jacketing material as well as a metal ring located at the back of the connector.
I know that our product will require compression molding using a "wrap" of material, as transfer molding material flow forces will most likely destroy our terminations.
My first question is where can i source sample sized of EPDM and Viton raw material?
Second question is there any recommendations that can be shared on base material formulations.
Customer control on cured product is SAE-ASM-3260.
I will apologize for my ignorance up front, but im in a new world for me.
