I need some advice on what specifications of extension cord I need. I am not familiar with some of the specs that are displayed on a product website. I need a retractable cord reel (max 30 ft), that will be connected to an electric hoist. The hoist puts out 0.8 HP, 10 amps @ low volts, 120V. I am not sure what kind of cord I need to operate this safely. The specifications I do not understand are as follows:
Gauge/Conductor - Ext.Cords and Outlet Strips
Max. Amps - Ext. Cords and Outlet Strips
Feeder Cord Ending - NEMA Configuration
Cord Ending - NEMA Configuration
I understand that the NEMA configuration has to do with the protection of the ends. I am not familiar with what NEMA configuration is right for an outside (covered) environment. Could anyone help?

The Max Amps would be the maximum current that it can conduct safely. The Gauge is its diameter.
