Does anyone know of a program that is good for creating nice looking PLC I/O diagrams for inclusion in reports? I have been using AutoCAD Electrical, but I find it unwieldy to connect everything up and make it look nice.

I use Visio Professional for doing smaller jobs and for doing drawings I want to put into Word documents or Excel workbooks. Works pretty good for me.

Visio is awful, it's only about 10% better than Paint. [smile] Something like RSWire from Rockwell might suit you better, if it's still on the market. I think I heard it might be EOL'd or withdrawn.

autocad electrical - was good when via had it but autocad messed it up. able to edit drawings but database info initial data entry is a problem

RSWires most expensive but a database nightmare, maybe different not sure.
