I tried using the WAVE mapper to create Linked Parts but I get an error saying linked parts are specified not to be done using wave mapper in my default settings.

How can I change this or have parametrically linked parts to use for creating subtractions of my part from a die block part in assembly.

Edit your ug_english.def or ug_metric.def file to enable Wave linked parts. (It might be in your ugii_env.def file.)

On Windows, you will need administrator rights. The files are by default in the UGII_BASE_DIR/ugii directory.

If you don't have rights to save these files, ask your admin to chnage the values for you or explain why these features are disabled.

you may also wish to make sure Assemblies_AllowInterPart: is set to YES, this is found in your ug_metric.def file (see below), as Ben said your need the access to mod the file.
