I want a figure of my model in 1:1 to compare with other models visually. Any good tips?

I have made four models and opened the odbs. I need figures for my report, but they have to be in the same scale. Abaqus auto fits them, which makes them all look the the same size.

Any good tips on how to choose which scale I want to see my outputs?

Sorry for my english,

And thank you for any replies! :)

In the past I would make a dummy element the same size in each simulation and fix it with no contact applied to it. After the simulation show all and fit-all then hide the dummy element. I hope this helps.

Hi Tore,

You could auto-fit the largest model and then save the View. You can then apply the saved View to the other models using the same scale (i.e. without auto-fitting). To save the current view and scale you can use View->Save->User1->Save Current. To apply the saved View you can activate the View tool bar and select the "1" icon for the User1 View.

That's what I used to do anyhow

Good luck,
Dave

Thank you both!

I used the dummy. That worked out ok, not very elegant, but it got the job done.

I didn't get to try to save the view, but this sounds interesting, and I will try this the next time.

Again, thank you for your time and help!

Tore
