hello Everyone,

please can anyone tell me why we use IBR 1950 Test Certificate for ASTM A105 Grade Material???
we can use ASTM A105 Grade Material but what makes the difference ??

IBR is the Indian Boiler Regulation, and they have their own rules for boiler material. Aditionally to the MTC they need another certification based on the IBR rules.

If you company has been audit by them and they certify that the company is a "Well-Known Pipe Marker", with the pipes you have to issue a MTC 3.1 and an IBR certificate (quite similar, but according to their regulations)
If you are not Well KNown maker, you need that an Inspector (authorized by them, LLoyds, B.Veritas etc) verify and sign the Material Certificate.

All the components used in India in a boiler have to be according to IBR.

Usually they are more or less like ASTM /ASME STANDARDS,
