I'm seeing important differences between the endplate calculations/simulations for moment connection using IDEA compared to RAM conn.
RAM is given failure for prying action on thin endplates and the same connections are complying with IDEA with some plastic deformation.
Has IDEA a way to simulate the prying actions and reduce accordingly the capacity of the bolts?
Thanks

Generally Ideastatica covers these types of questions in their literature.

I'd recommend modeling a thick end plate that shouldn't have much or any prying, and see what happens.

Yes IDEA Statica will give output that includes prying action.

To be explicit you will get significantly higher loads on bolts due to prying action. It does not reduce the capacity of the bolts but it increases the force on the bolts. (Many FEA software like Nastran will also do this but IDEA Statica is far easier to use for this._

It won't take into account any bending or eccentric loading of bolts if this is what you are meaning by reduced capacity of bolts. Though my normal analysis prying doesn't reduce the capacity of the bolt, it increases the load on the bolt. A subtle but important difference.
