Hi guys

I am not experienced in practical vibration/MCM but hoping to learn a bit from this interesting forum.

Could you advise what type of component is likely to be producing the intermittent "chirping" noise heard in the attached recording?

The machine is a portable home air-conditioner (the humble type with condenser exhaust pipe that vents out of an open window).

I suspect a failing bush or ball/roller bearing somewhere, but with minimal experience I wouldn't really know.

I will open up the machine and try to track down the component, but it would be helpful to go in a bit better informed.

Thanks in advance!

For anyone who is interested: In the end the condenser fan was clear, but two rows of the condenser coils were rubbing against a piece of expanded polystyrene that sits between the two rows. Jammed in some filter foam to snug things up. Seems to have done the trick.
