With regards to IEC 60502-2, -4, I'm trying to understand the testing requirements for CLASS A&B vs. C high voltage cables and accesories. It looks like the class c requires us to test our connector as if U = Uo. A connector normally rated at 5.0 KVAC=U Class A&B, would need to be tested as if it were rate as a 8.6 KVAC=U connector for class c, but would still retain the 5 KVAC=U rating (class C). Is this correct?

Additionally, a connector rated at 5 KVAC=U is often advertised as a 6 KVAC=Um (1.2 x U). Is this a continuous operational max system voltage?
