If what you mean is learning about types of fans& their application, start off with reading Carrier Handbook of Air Conditioning System Design Part 6 Air Handling Equipment Chapter 1 Fans. Find information on the Internet also on Variable or Adjustable Frequency Control. Also Strobic fans & plug fans which are getting lots of use lately in lab exhaust & AHU applications respectively.
