I did the calculations on a IFR we are planning to air raise in a couple months. Its 110' diameter with a combined weight of 250.59t. I came up with 302 mm h20. can someone verify my numbers are correct?

Also, I'm trying to source fans for the project. i cant seems to find ones that meet the requirements. Would anyone be willing to share a link to where i may find what I'm looking for?

I've been part of many air raising projects, but this is my first time on calculation and set up side of it.

thank you

Define what is "t"

Short ton, long ton or metric tonne.

Seems to be about right but define this first.

I suspect you need a "blower" not a "fan", so search for that instead.

Air raising or "hair" raising....? :p

It appears this is a huge fan with 302 mm H2O fan head.

TLT fans is a company supplying FD/ID fans for coal power plants which look similar in size and rating.

Howden is another company.

My points,
- Check your figures . If i had designed a tank having dimensions 33D X 10 H and if the total weight were 250 metric tons , my boss surely would fire me.
- What is the reason for air lift ? can you provide a sketch of the proposed IFR ?

At 250 tons and 110 ft diameter that's 26 psf. A standard 3/16" steel deck is only 8 psf. What does your IFR look like to be so heavy?

Next, 26 psf is only 5" (125 mm) water column. How did you arrive at 12" (300 mm) WC? A more reasonable weight will reduce this pressure even further.

Air raising a floating roof is a piece of cake (with the right tools and procedures). I remember being on one and helping drop/pin the legs in 1981.

I get nearly 59 psf....

But agree its a heavy roof. Double skin?
