Anyone do much picture inserting into mathcad?
I use it quite often for calculation reports, and am inserting more and more images of late to illustrate various parts of the report.
Anyway, I prepare the images elsewhere as JPEG's, making sure to get their filesizes down to reasonable limits, and then I insert them.
Now the problem is, once I have more than 3 or 4 images in, performance becomes terrible, and filesize becomes huge. 3-4Mb range with 3-4 images. One file was 50Mb by the time I'd finished.
The way I insert images is to drag the file into MS word, and then drag it from word to the mathcad screen. It's the only way I've found that works. Thing is, it appears to expand the image size back up high, even though it came from a pretty small jpeg to begin with.
Anywone know what's going on, or any better ways of getting illustrations into your reports?
I really like having lots of descriptive images, and would rather not have to keep them all in a separate document / program like work. They're much better sited within the calc reports.
Any help / thoughts would be much appreciated.
