We have a color code Jpeg image that we insert into the drafting sheet for certain jobs. For some recent the image stops showing up.

I can hover over the image and see it is there. In the Drafting Navigator under groups there are several there from others adding them because they thought it was missed. But for some reason the image is not visible.

We have found that if you insert image, it will show up. But if you save and close the file, the next time you open it, that image is invisible.

Any ideas?

Native or Teamcenter ?
Does your load options , native, include the directory where the image exists ?
The question is whether that image is "swallowed" by the NX part or if it is referenced like a component.

Tomas

I just checked and I am told they only have this problem in Team Center. I was under the assumption it happened in both but I guess not.

It is not a component. Originally we had a part file that had nothing but the image and I had a button that would automatically import the part file. It would just merge with the part file we are working in.

Now they are just going to MENU > INSERT > IMAGE and adding the image.

There is now new info I have learned in this strange problem. lol

They were importing the image (JPG) and placing it on different sheets in the same file. The next time they opened the file the images were invisible. They were still there. You can hover over them and see the selection ability in the cursor and stuff. They also still showed up in the Navigator under "groups". But the image itself was not visible. .... i have learned they have found a work around where they have to have several PNG files in their folder. If they add one to one sheet, they have to add a different one to the next sheet. I guess if the different images they add have the same file name, it causes a problem and it corrupts them or something? Does this make any sense?

Unfortunately I am working from home for another week at least and cannot get as involved with figuring it out as I would like. lol So I am learning things myself as someone thinks to mention it. lol
