Hello all.
In solidworks the image quality bar is limited according to size and detail of a part for example in a larg part with normal details I can maximum image quality by "0.2" in option.
Is there any way to use a smaller number and obtain a better quality ?
(maybe in registery or so on ? )

The Image Quality in your Tools\Options is the only place to control this at.

Other than that I'm not sure what you mean?

Hello scott.
I know where the image quality is.
But I mean in some of cad softwares you can type the image quality scale absolutly but in solidworks you just move the bar , and the scale number which is shown under the bar is different from a part to another due to phisycal size and detail of models. is there any way to enter the absolute image quality scale in solidworks ?
for example if you work on a big part with high detail , you will see a circle like hexagone althogh the image quality bar is at end.

I disagree. If you save the image quality in your template it doens't matter the size the image quality is the same. I have tested this here and the image quality is just as good with a .5 diamter part as it is the a 10' diameter part.

If you do a zoom all on the smaller of the 2 you will see the same image result as you do with the bigger one.

I agree with Scott.
IMO why would you want to change the setting to show better quality? The default is good enough....making it 'better' would hender performance.

Hi scott.
I model a cylender D10x20 inch .
Image quality scale is go up to 0.187 at end.
Now edit the definition , update the cylinder to D10x40.
I see the image quality scale go down to 0.324 .
isn't ?
So in big models and specially when toy have much detail on your models , image quality scale go down and down until you can't see circles as circles and completly round.
Best regard

Here is the answer and I think this is what your seeking.

The reason the Deviation changes, is because it is giving you the best quality as your model changes.

Devaition is relative to the size of the model. As your model gets larger the Devation changes and gives you the best quality for your model. So it works better than just putting in a certain deviation and it staying there for the entire life of the model no matter how big it gets.
