I am a inspector apprentice, please help me!
The client supplied our company with a detailed engineering design of a storage tank 1200 L inox 316L destinatined for alimentary production.General thinkness is 3mm and 5mm.
Does this job requires impact toughness test?
I am asking this with concerns about the supplimentary essentials because they become necessary.

Motivated Apprentice,
Strongly suggest your company hire someone with the required knowledge to complete this.
Your comments on this post and another show that whilst motivated you need help in understanding the code.
Please do not take this as criticism - your company should not put you in this position.

Thank you for your rely.
My company does have an international welding engineer that they deal with. But he usually reviews the documents. That way it is cost-effective.
I look to bright side. I am training and learning at the same time. I am also a welder. This is only a plus.

Design temperature and construction code dictate impact testing requirements. If the contents are liquid oxygen, impact testing of the PQR would most likely be required.

Thank you, I will inquire about the contents of the tank and get an exact answer. The problem is that the commercial staff in our company withholds important information from us, the technical staff. I also struggle with that.
