hi every body
i need to know that astm a105 flange if normalized, belongs to which curve in asme b31.3, Fig. 323.2.2A Minimum Temperatures Without Impact Testing for Carbon Steel Materials????
in table a-1 materials with heat treatment are not listed, like this material. please help me to explain for my client for minimum design temperature of this material...

Per Table A-1, the Min Temp for A105 without impact testing is -20°F.

Normalizing doesn't get you any lower temperature.

My proof is that ASME B31.3 does not provide any rules to allow a reduction of the minimum temperature for normalized A105 material below -20°F. Please review ASME B31.3 for your own understanding.
 
In ucs-66 also there is not any helpful information!
Please help me....
Our inspector will satisfy only with text in asme b31.3 or asme sec8 div1!
 
See 323.2.2(a)
Then see Table A-1 for A105 material. See Note 6 which is referenced in the 'Min. Temp.' heading of Table A-1.
 
Minimum temperature without impact testing does not necessarily equate to minimum design temperature.
