Hello All,
I am currently using NEPLAN for my work and I am trying to implement the charging characteristics of a battery, since NEPLAN has no battery in the library (except one used for Short circuit analysis). I have tried using the DLL file for my model, but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestion on how to implemet a simple battery model will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sorry JExpert, but what is it "NEPLAN"-except the Software Informer?

@/anoter4: I don´t really understand your question.Just in case you mean what NEPLAN is, it is a software for power system analysis/simulation.
You can take a look at the link: Let me know if thats not what you mean. Thanks for the response.

It seems to me that is a very good software but it is Swiss made. Usually this forum engineers have American software so
I don't think you could get some assistance for your problem here.

What is the intent of your model? Are you trying to do circuit analysis of battery discharge/charge cycles in a circuit or are you adding the battery charger as a load on your AC system for load flow or load profile analysis?

Battery charging load profile is determined by the charger more than the battery with current limiting features.

If you could tell us more about what you are trying to do, we might be able to offer some suggestions.

Actually, I have an LV network with photovoltaic units, loads and battery connected at each node.

I am trying to use the battery as an energy storage device(no discharging)---to absorb energy from my low voltage grid if and only if the local bus(connected with photovoltaic) voltage to which it is connected is greater than a set value.

I am not really concerned about the detailed battery model. So, if I could control a load to be activated when the voltage set value is exceeded, it will serve my purpose.

Your suggested is highly welcome. Thanks.
