Import STEP assembly as single CATpart

Hi Folks,

Is there a way to make CATIA import a STEP assembly from another system as a single CATpart? My goal is to end up with a single CATpart maintaining all the surface colours. I know I could import the STEP file as the default CATproduct and then perform a "Create CATpart from CATproduct" but then everything in the output CATpart is turned the default CATIA grey.

That is if you use the "Create CATpart from CATproduct" function of the Assembly Design Workbench.
HOWEVER, if you start the workbench "Product Data Filtering" located in the Infrastructure tab, and then start the "Product to Part", you will have the colors and attributes bullets:

I don't think I have access to the license that enables the "Product Data Filtering" workbench.
