Hello All,

There is an Imported Geometry in my assembly (its a screw), when I try to make a drawing of the assembly the imported geometry becomes invisible in the drafting environment. Is it because I have not kept something on in drafting environment. Are there any particular reasons because of which an imported geometry may become invisible? Please suggest.

Thanks in advance.

What version of NX?
Imported Geometry means what, exactly? STEP, IGES, DXF, another NX file? 2D or 3D?
Where did the imported geometry come from originally?
Explain the process by which you imported the geometry, please. Also, do you see the imported geometry in modeling or are you expecting to see it only in drafting?
Please answer all of the above and I'm sure someone will help you find a solution.

Could be a layer issue or visible in view issue, off the top of my head.

If the Drawing is using 'Lightweight' views, it's possible that the imported part does NOT contain any 'lightweight' data. Also check to see that it's not a Layer issue.

Yeah, as John said it could be a lightweight or layering issue. Check the layer visible in view setting for the component. You could also try switching the reference set for the component to "Entire Part".
