Importing a model, want to make it a part

I'm importing a parasolid, and it comes in as an assembly with 30 components. I don't want all those components as seperate files, I just want 1 part file.

I can not merge the component parts, because some of the geometry is flaky and is not solid (it's surfaces). How can I make this just a single part?

I'm using SW 2001+.

If you are using 2003 you can do a Save-As and save it as a part. BBJT CSWP

I have SW 2001+. Any way to do it in this version?

You could use the Join command to join all the parts. Or ask whoever is creating the parasolid to save it as a single part file. Ray Reynolds

You could export each of the individual parts to a neutral file (IGES, STEP, or parasolid), and then import that into a part file using Insert-->Surface-->Imported [bat]Gravity is a harsh mistress.[bat]
