Hello,

[ul]
[li]Assuming you have installed CATIA and TCIC, the steps to manually import CATIA documents into Teamcenter are as follows:[/li]
[li]Copy the CATIA structure with all the dependencies to a import folder on TCIC temporary folder. The copy should be really a SAVE-AS operation from CATIA or else links still refer to old location and TCIC fails. All the links should really point to the data inside this import folder.[/li]
[li]Create a Data.txt file in the import folder with the absolute path of the root CATProduct/CATPart[/li]
[li]Launch CATIA+TCIC, Click on Generate Spreadsheet button. This creates a ImpSpreadSheet.txt file on the import folder.[/li]
[li]The spreadsheet should be adjusted with values from Teamcenter. Eg: Item Revision number, revision, description, checkout etc. This spreadsheet controls where to import the data and also if you want to update existing data.[/li]
[li]Click on Import Spreadsheet option and this will execute the import.[/li]
[/ul]

The entire process outlined above can also be fully automated for bulk imports/migrations. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Shashi

There are two ways to import data :
- one is TcIC import methodology as described in previous thread. it can be made in interactive or batch for bulk import
- Other one is to use PLM load to move all data to Teamcenter and later use TcIC load update save capability to synchronize data and full fill TcIC data model in Teamcenter

second approach provides advantage to divide import in two steps
